Russian men’s fear is growing

Berlin On April 1st, the regular army recruitment cycle for the coming summer begins in Russia. It is already the second that the Ministry of Defense has to organize in addition to the “unscheduled” partial mobilization from last year.

For this reason, in early March, many Russian men received summonses from the registration and recruitment offices. By the end of the month, half (40) of the country’s regions were affected, including the metropolises of Moscow and St. Petersburg, which had escaped relatively unscathed.

Furthermore, the Russian authorities stubbornly deny that there will be a mobilization like last year. The President’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, repeats this like a mantra: in November, December, January, February and now again – in March. According to Moscow, around 300,000 men were drafted at the time.
