Berlin As revenge for the significant loss of territory, Russia is repeatedly launching new attacks on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure. Late Wednesday evening, Russian missiles hit a dam near Kryvyi Rish, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. On Thursday evening, another attack, this time with a Russian cruise missile, according to the city administration, severely damaged an industrial plant in the steel metropolis.

In the north-eastern city of Kharkiv, the power supply has been interrupted several times in the past few days by Russian artillery fire. For hours, the metropolis not far from the Russian border and large parts of eastern Ukraine were without electricity.

When a Russian fighter jet attacked the dam with five missiles, a pumping station was destroyed, through the ruins of which large volumes of water then flowed that the Inhulez River threatened to burst its banks.
