Putin sees good future for Russia despite sanctions
Despite the sanctions imposed by the West, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed optimism about the country’s further development at a meeting with business representatives. “I am convinced that Russia has a good future,” he said at a televised meeting with representatives of the business association Delovaya Rossiya on Friday.
In the medium term there are some economic problems to be overcome, but the supply chains are slowly getting back on track. “That is amazing. Even for me,” said Putin. After the start of Moscow’s war of aggression, sanctions and the withdrawal of Western companies had caused Russia’s gross domestic product to shrink.
