Athens “Three papers are still missing, then the house is ours,” says Bernd P.* The engineer from Bavaria and his wife can hardly wait to take possession of their new home on the Greek island of Rhodes. On 430 square meters of living space, the two-storey modern villa offers a large living area, four bedrooms with four bathrooms, a gym and a large property with a heated pool. “When we wake up, we see the sea,” enthuses the 65-year-old.

Holiday homes in Greece like that of the German couple are now more in demand than ever. After two difficult Corona years, the Greek tourism industry wants to build on the record series of the pre-crisis era in 2022. This is also boosting the market for holiday properties. Nevertheless, the prices are still comparatively cheap. This also makes holiday properties in Hellas interesting as investment properties.
