RKI reports more than 65,000 new infections – almost two thirds of Germans for home office duty

The Federal Ministry of Health expects that a Corona vaccine for children between five and eleven years will probably be available until shortly before Christmas could be. A possible approval for this age group for the vaccine from Biontech can be expected in November, according to a report by the department on the federal-state consultations this Thursday. “Subject to approval, this children’s vaccine will be available for the first time in Germany on December 20, 2021.” The news portal “The Pioneer” first reported on it (Thursday).

The ministry intends to discuss the distribution of the first announced delivery of around 2.4 million doses with the federal states, resident doctors and pharmaceutical wholesalers in the coming days. Vaccinations for children have so far only been possible from the age of twelve. In total, there are 9.2 million children under the age of twelve for whom there is still no approved vaccine.
