The Frankfurt-based organization pointed out that Ripple, one of the leading providers of enterprise blockchain and crypto solutions for cross-border payments, has recently developed a blockchain-based infrastructure to support CBDCs.
Digital Euro President Jonas Gross stated that the partnership with Ripple will play a very important role in the adoption of CBDC in the world and said:
“We are very excited to be able to increase the technological expertise of the DEA community through the partnership with Ripple.
As more and more CBDC projects worldwide reach advanced stages, the technological design of a CBDC will play an important role for countries’ policy makers.”
CBDCs Are Among Our Top Priorities!
James Wallis, Ripple Vice President of Central Bank Agreements, stated that CBDCs are among their main priorities in 2022:
“We are excited to join the Digital Euro Union as a supporting partner to further develop our work in the CBDC space.
DEA works in European and global markets to drive the development and growth of CBDCs and especially the Digital Euro.
Ripple has significantly invested in the CBDC world with a team of around 40 people around the world, helping to develop and deliver solutions for CBDCs and stablecoins.
