Too Many Scams Recently Impersonating Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse
Garlinghouse, one of the most recognizable cryptocurrency leaders, added that he himself cannot believe that he still needs to report these fake accounts.
In the image shared by Garlinghouse, there is an e-mail screenshot showing that the teams examined the bot accounts and did not see any problems after the Twitter team reported it.

Ripple CEO stated that Twitter bot accounts respond to tons of Tweets under his own name.
On Sunday, the official Twitter account of famous Spanish vocalist Bertín Osborne was hacked to impersonate Garlinghouse. However, many fraudulent Tweets were sent from the famous name’s account and the situation was intervened hours later.
Official government accounts are also not safe from scammers. In early September, the Twitter account of Oman’s embassy in India was also hacked to promote an XRP scam.
In the same month, the official Twitter account of the CoinDCX account was similarly hacked.
Garlinghouse stated in his tweet that other popular crypto personalities are also suffering from bots, with Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao among the top targets of copycats.
Garlinghouse claims that “thousands” of people have been scammed by scammers on social media.
Ripple took video-sharing giant YouTube to court for failing to delete fake videos with Garlinghouse, but later settled the case.
