Frankfurt It was a close race, but now Rheinmetall has made it. The armaments group Rheinmetall will be included in the Dax elite index on March 20th. Deutsche Börse announced this on Friday evening after the US stock market closed.
The dialysis group Fresenius Medical Care has to make room for Rheinmetall.
Since the start of Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine more than a year ago, defense stocks have been an issue on the stock exchange again. The Rheinmetall share has increased by around 190 percent since the beginning of 2022. Since then, she has been considered a Dax candidate several times, but has always missed promotion.
