Aptos Node v1.2 release will add performance optimizations to reduce exponential pullback and latency and better handle timeouts to reduce timeouts for full nodes in low bandwidth environments.
The Aptos Layer 1 blockchain uses the Move programming language. The upgrade will add new integer types (u16, u32, u256), view functions, compile-time checks for transaction arguments, and support for smart contracts.
