The Google Search app is getting ready to get a new shortcut. Users will be able to see their previous searches in a single pop-up window. This will make it much easier to access the last search. So what does the new feature look like?
Google will remind you of your last search
Google is testing a new shortcut in its app that could make repeat searches even easier. The new feature, seen in the Google Search app for Android, shows a user’s previous search as a pop-up after performing a search.
Currently in development, this pop-up lets users repeat their last search without having to retype the entire query. The search term appears at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds and can be dismissed with a single tap.
This small but useful shortcut could make users’ regular searches faster. It seems like it would be easier than re-entering a query when multitasking or when a search gets interrupted.
The pop-up window is currently functional in the beta version of the Google app. Although it is an experimental feature for now, it may be released in the stable version of the Google app in the future.
Google also recently redesigned the Search Bar Widget, which Android users have been using for a long time. However, with this innovation, many customization options that users have become accustomed to have been removed. Now users can only choose from certain color themes.
So what do you think about this issue?
