Purchase prices weigh on Schaeffler’s profit margin – United Internet with strong new customer business

Kontron increases profit

Brisk business has pushed the Austrian IT company. In the second quarter, the Revenues increased by ten percent to almost 661 million euros, announced the company on Thursday, which operated under the name S&T for a long time. That adjusted operating result (Ebitda) increased by seven percent to 62.6 million euros.

The length planned sale of its IT services business Kontron intends to complete in the current quarter. The division, which includes all activities of the IT service business in the German-speaking area as well as in Central and Eastern Europe, currently accounts for more than a third of the group’s turnover with an annual turnover of 577 million euros.

The Linz-based company intends to use the proceeds from the sale to expand the “Internet of Things” area, which Kontron intends to focus on in the future. The Austrians confirmed their annual targets, according to which sales should increase to 1.5 billion euros. “Our order situation is still very good and the growth prospects in the IoT area are excellent,” said company boss Hannes Niederhauser.
