PS Plus Subscribers Rejoice: Exciting Updates for Lost Records

In light of recent challenges with the PlayStation Network, PlayStation is turning things around for its subscribers through the impressive PS Plus catalog. Sony’s gaming service continues to surprise fans with exciting additions and benefits. This week, players had the opportunity to snag a major title for free, regardless of their subscription tier. For those who are part of the Extra plan, there’s even more good news as one of the latest games is receiving a substantial update.

Subscribers to PS Plus Extra can now fully immerse themselves in the experience of Lost Records, the newest offering from the renowned French developer, Don’t Nod. This title made its debut in the PS Plus Extra lineup back in February, but its launch faced several hurdles. While the game promised an engaging narrative and dynamic gameplay, it unfortunately suffered from significant bugs that hampered the experience on both PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Patch 1.02.120351: A Game-Changer for Lost Records

Fortunately, Don’t Nod has swiftly addressed these issues, and the release of patch 1.02.120351 marks a turning point for what was anticipated to be one of the standout indie games of 2025. This update enhances the game’s stability and resolves a host of problems related to saving and recording in-game footage. Players can now look forward to a smoother gameplay experience.

Since March 4, the update for Lost Records has been available for PS5 and Xbox Series X users, including those subscribed to PS Plus Extra and Premium. While not all issues have been completely resolved, this patch aims to rectify many frustrating problems. Here are some key fixes included in the update:

  • Save files are now compressed to optimize disk space usage.
  • Xbox users will benefit from improved batch recording of camcorder video sequences, minimizing save failures.
  • Resolved issues with recording video sequences in collection or memory mode, which previously caused crashes.
  • Temporary unavailability of camcorder sequences has been fixed.
  • Addressed a conditional blockage in the “Movie Night” chapter linked to broken camcorder video sequences.
  • On PS5, a potential crash at chapter ends that led to corrupted or lost saves has been rectified.

With these improvements, players can now progress through Lost Records with fewer interruptions. Notable advancements also include:

  • Correct display of camcorder sequences in the “Movie Night” chapter, ensuring seamless progression.
  • A bug fix in the “Echoes of Summer” chapter that previously hindered exiting after filming.

Additionally, various other crash issues have been addressed, notably those that occurred during saving, organizing clips, or accessing video sequences. The choice summary screens at the end of Tape 1 have been redesigned to accurately reflect community choices and relationship levels with Nora, while the photosensitivity warning has been clarified and now appears during the initial launch of Lost Records.

Thanks to Don’t Nod’s proactive approach, Lost Records is set to provide a more enjoyable experience for players, reinforcing the value of the PS Plus subscription.
