Prospects for additional gas deliveries are increasing

Indeed, there is a first signal that the flow of gas from Russia to the EU is indeed swelling. “Since November 6th, the gas storage tank operated by the Gazprom Group has been increasing,” said Sebastian Bleschke, Managing Director of the Energy Storage Initiative (INES), the Handelsblatt. The operators of natural gas storage facilities have joined forces in the initiative.

The increasing filling level of the Gazprom storage facility “could be an indication that the announcement of storage is now being implemented”, added Bleschke. “At the moment, the injections outweigh the withdrawals overall in Germany, so the level of storage is rising at the moment,” he said.
