Riga, Dusseldorf Pro-Russian hackers are threatening retaliation for the announced delivery of German Leopard tanks to Ukraine. Specifically, they announced cyber attacks on targets in Germany. The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) confirmed to the Handelsblatt that cyber attacks are currently being carried out against targets in Germany.

Shortly after the government’s decision became known, the Killnet hacker group published a message on its Telegram channel on the subject and said: “The apocalypse is getting closer and closer.”

The group calls for a “comprehensive cyber attack on Germany” in which other hacker groups should participate. The campaign has the hashtag #DeutschlandRIP. On Wednesday, the group then published lists of potential attack targets, such as government and ministry websites.
