Europe’s largest airline group is changing its customer loyalty program starting next year.

Frankfurt From next year, frequent flyers will have to adapt to new rules at Lufthansa. You then earn points instead of miles for Frequent Traveller, Senator or the highest HON category status.

The management of the airline group had already announced the conversion of the “loyalty program” in 2019. Then the corona pandemic began, Lufthansa suspended the changes and is now making up for them in 2024.

The goal is a more transparent, simpler system, the Lufthansa management justifies the project. At the same time, customers who travel primarily with the airlines in the group and the so-called “co-issuing Miles & More partners” Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines and Luxair should also be rewarded.
