A photo submitted to Nikon’s photography competition revealed an ant’s face with the utmost horror. Although the photo was not one of the winners of the competition, it attracted attention all over the world.
Nikon’s annual “Small World Photomicrography Contest”’s 48th leg started recently. The photography contest, in which we descended into worlds at an almost microscopic level, hosted magnificent frames.
While the winner of the photography contest was announced, a photograph submitted to the contest attracted the attention of the whole world. Lithuanian wildlife photographer Eugenijus Kavaliauskasrevealed an ant’s face in detail that we had seldom seen before.

Although many ant photographs entered the competition this year, as every year, Eugenijus Kavaliauskas’ 57 ‘Images of Distinction‘, this photo managed to stand out. Kavaliauskas’ photo made the ants look like they had stepped out of a fantasy world. Kavaliauskas could not be among the winners of the competition with this photo and was excluded from the category. Nikon item for $35 won.

The winner of the competition won a cash prize of $3,000.
