Comirnaty alone delivered $36.8 billion last year, the highest annual sales for any single pharmaceutical product.

Frankfort, New York After a one-year hiatus, the US pharmaceutical company Pfizer is back as the world’s leading drug manufacturer with a strong jump in sales and profits. Thanks to the huge business with the corona vaccine Comirnaty, which the group researched together with Biontech, Pfizer increased its sales by 95 percent to around 81.3 billion dollars last year. This makes Pfizer once again the undisputed number one in the pharmaceutical industry. Net income rose 140 percent to $22 billion.
For 2022, company boss Albert Bourla on Tuesday announced a further increase in revenue to $98 to $102 billion and adjusted net income of $37 to $38 billion. That would be by far the highest profit a pharmaceutical company has ever made.
