Frankfurt Turkish Airlines wants 600 new aircraft. That would be the largest aircraft order ever placed by an airline. The coming days will show how serious Ahmed Bolat, the airline’s CEO, is about this announcement.

The annual conference of the world airline association Iata begins in Istanbul on June 4th. Bolat wants to use this stage for the first orders. More are to follow at the Paris Air Show, which opens its doors on June 19 in Le Bourget.

Not only the airline from Istanbul is planning a massive upgrade of its fleet. The pandemic, which had brought air traffic to the ground around the world, was hardly over when Airbus and Boeing began to receive mega orders.
