Only one candidate has a really good chance of promotion

Frankfurt In the Dax, Beiersdorf is what is called an elevator team in sports. In March 2021, the cosmetics group had to make way for Siemens Energy in the leading German index. At the end of October 2021, Beiersdorf moved back into the most important German stock market barometer instead of Vonovia – and had to make way for Daimler Truck again in March of this year. Since then, the price has risen by more than eight percent, and Beiersdorf has a good chance of being listed on the Dax again.

Deutsche Börse will announce the decision on the changes in the indices on June 3 after 10 p.m. The changes will be implemented a good three weeks later. The market value of the shares in free float is decisive for the place in an index. However, given the war in Ukraine and the worries about inflation, interest rates and recession, the extremely volatile stock markets do not exactly make it easier to forecast the index candidates.
