Most recently, he represented the bond investors on the bankrupt company’s creditors’ committee. The restructuring company polarized. Critics accuse Günther of improper behavior and complain about conflicts of interest.

Günther himself believes that the solution found is the right one and is looking to the future: “We are very confident that we can lead Deutsche Leuchtmittel to success and that we can achieve optimal satisfaction for the creditors,” he said on Thursday after the purchase contracts were signed. DLM Deutsche Leuchtmittel GmbH – One Square’s rescue company for Deutsche Lichtmiete operates under it.

Günther’s One Square group has already been involved in the financial restructuring of well-known companies such as Air Berlin, Beate Uhse and Tui. The consulting firm writes about its services on the website: “Special situations are in our DNA.”
