Cryptocurrency journalist Emily Parker in her latest interview bitcoin and to cryptocurrencies made striking statements about it.
“Conditions Are Absolutely Right for BTC and Cryptocurrency Adoption”
Parker evaluated the recent rise in cryptocurrencies as follows:
“Of course, we will never know exactly what drives the Bitcoin price, but I can say that at the moment, the conditions certainly seem favorable for crypto adoption. When we look at Russia, we see that people who want to withdraw cash at ATMs form long queues. The Russian Ruble is collapsing.”
“We See Bitcoin as a Safe Haven for People”
Emily Parker said she thinks Bitcoin is used as a safe haven for people:
“People are currently looking for an asset that can qualify as a safe haven. BTC is expected to operate as this safe haven. In fact, part of the philosophy of this cryptocurrency is that it provides protection against such risks. So the adoption of cryptocurrencies seems quite logical. But of course, this is not the only use of cryptocurrencies. We’ve been seeing this technology used to donate globally for a while.
For example, Ukraine requested donations with cryptocurrencies. This demand was also met, the country managed to collect at least 16 million dollars in crypto money. A significant portion of the donated cryptocurrencies were withdrawn from wallets and is currently in use in Ukraine. In addition, the Russian opposition movement is also collecting donations in crypto. Therefore, there are currently many usage scenarios for cryptocurrencies, which are a relatively fast and efficient method of sending money across borders.”
Parker also said he opposes the idea that cryptocurrencies will be used to circumvent sanctions against Russia. According to the analyst, it is unlikely that this technology will be used by Russia, as all cryptocurrency transactions are recorded on the Blockchain.
