Gundremmingen, Munich When only the screams of a flock of crows tear the silence on this icy afternoon, the cemetery mood appears perfect. Suddenly the December fog opens, the delicate outlines of a cooling tower appear. “That is the cooling tower of Block C, the only one still active,” says Daniel Spannbauer, looking satisfied.
Before the meeting at the Gundremmingen nuclear power plant, the 45-year-old bought a landscape calendar with motifs from the nuclear power plant in the “Dorflädle” from the pro-nuclear power association Nuklearia. He often allowed himself to be guided through the power plant in the Bavarian district of Günzburg, “which is so safe and clean that you can eat off the ground”.
