Not SHIB, Whales Added These 5 Altcoins To Their Caches!

  • Ethereum whales continue to buy popular cryptocurrencies like APE and FTM, as well as “old favorite” altcoins like LINK and SAND.

According to several tweets posted on the Twitter account of whale watching platform WhaleStats, in the past 24 hours several large whales on the Ethereum blockchain have purchased just over $22 million in digital currency. Assets held by major wallets included altcoins such as APE, SAND, LINK, FTX and FTM.

Whales add trend tokens to their wallets

WhaleStats platform, which provides data on the top 100 whales on various over-the-counter platforms, shared that some of the biggest investors in the Ethereum blockchain recently acquired a total of $22.1 million in digital assets in various altcoins: ApeCoin (APE), FTX Token (FTX), Phantom (FTM), Sandbox and Chainlink (LINK).

Cryptocurrencies like FTT, LINK, and FTM have been among the assets that whales frequently invest in lately, along with the meme coin Shiba Inu, but more recently altcoins like APE and SAND have also joined the list.

Whales have added 2,100,000 SAND, 485,000 LINK, 195,029 APE, 3,383,731 FTM and 195,029 APE in the last 24 hours.

With these purchases, APE and FTM entered the list of the 10 most purchased cryptocurrencies by the top 100 ETH whales. The rest of the list included dollar stablecoins BUSD, USDT, and USDC, along with WBTC, MKR, FTM, and CEL.

In the last 24 hours, APE has also been the most traded ERC-20 token for the hundred largest Ethereum whales, with APE holding this position for the past few days.

FTT remains the largest USD-valued cryptocurrency investment for these investors and is second only to Ethereum on the top 10 crypto holdings list.

As previously reported by KoinFinans, over the weekend, whales bought 600,000 ApeCoins worth about $8.2 million during the buying spree. Aside from large purchases, ApeCoin also seems to be moving fast in adoption. Time Magazine plans to start accepting APE as payment for digital subscription.

Biggest ETH wallets hold $1.2 billion worth of SHIB

The WhaleStats website states that the aforementioned top 100 ETH whales are still huge – worth $1,255,643,849. Shiba Inu (SHIB) The meme shows that he is holding the cryptocurrency. This amount equates to 53,591,286,769,099 SHIB and makes up 14.14 percent of their portfolio.

The amount of FTT the whales have is slightly larger. Giant wallets have an FTX token value of $1,678,414,524, which makes up 18.9 percent of their portfolio.
