“What we need is a maximum digitization offensive,” said Karagiannidis.
Karagiannidis said that more precise data could be expected to help combat the pandemic much better. “If the health insurance companies know exactly when you have been vaccinated and you can immediately see if the vaccine effect wears off, then you can immediately see what an incredible effect this has on public health.”
Karagiannidis alluded to the statement by Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD), who said on Wednesday that the incidence was probably twice or three times as high as officially reported. This is due, among other things, to a lack of staff in the health departments over the holidays.
