Elon Musk, who likes to share images that go viral on the Internet, has a special interest in memes about the crypto world.
Musk, the founder of Tesla, who regularly shares memes with his 61 million followers, shared a meme created by Eva Beylin, a hobby artist, on his Twitter account, called “Love in The Times of Web3”.

The meme shared by Musk features a cartoon couple lying on a couch watching the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum. In the meme, Bitcoin’s price is $69,000 and Ethereum is $4,200.
Although it was Beylin’s idea to create the meme that Musk shared, Beylin did not regulate Bitcoin and Ethereum prices.
Speaking to CNBC, 28-year-old Eva Beylin said she was very happy to see Elon Musk repost his meme and said:
The ultimate reward of memelogy is when the ultimate meme master uses your meme.”
The meme, which attracted great attention on the night Musk shared, was sold by Beylin as an NFT on the Zora market that night.
Just two days after it went on sale, the NFT named “Love in The Times of Web3” was purchased by an anonymous buyer for 5 ETH (about $19,800 at the time).
The anonymous buyer has relisted the meme he received, now at 70 ETH at approximately $275,000. Saying that the popular NFT would gain 15% royalties if it was resold, Beylin said it was unbelievable.
Expressing that he was inspired by the post of another Twitter user who edited crypto prices and tweeted as a joke while creating the popular meme, Beylin added that he gave 20% of his income from NFT sales to make up for it.
Elon Musk reposted this 28-year-old’s meme—and then it sold as an NFT for nearly $20,000 in just 2 days https://t.co/bybdBNmaHC
