Frankfurt The effects of the attack on Ukraine, which has been criticized as illegal under international law, are intensifying from week to week. An end is not yet in sight. “The specter of stagflation is making the rounds,” believe the analysts at Weberbank against this background.

The term describes the mixture of stagnating economic growth and rising prices at the same time. “We still expect that the large and relevant international economies will also grow by around three percent in 2022. But the growth risks increase with every week that the war lasts and in which new sanctions are decided,” says Weberbank.

The stock and bond markets are correspondingly nervous at the moment. According to Weberbank, a large number of companies are not doing badly at all. In times of crisis, it is important as a shareholder to keep a cool head and not to be guided by emotions.
