New regulation in electricity! Will the bills go down?

TurkeyAs of the beginning of January, the bills started to burn after the switch to the tariff pricing system with the new price hike in electricity. Due to the increased use of electricity, especially during the pandemic period, there was a reaction from the citizens on the subject.

After the intense demand from the citizens, the new regulation came. After the cabinet meeting President ErdoganHe talked about the increase in electricity bills. Stating that he evaluated the demands, Erdoğan gave the good news.

A first in the world: Domestic electric tractor will go into mass production!

It has been announced that the vehicles produced by ZY Electric Tractor received successful results from the performance tests and that they will start mass production.

Will electricity bills go down?

Speaking at the press conference held today on the subject, President Erdogan“As of the beginning of the year, we have made mandatory arrangements to ensure sustainability. Upon complaints that electricity bills have increased by two or three times, we have instructed our relevant institutions to reorganize electricity tariffs.” We used expressions.

Accordingly, the electricity consumption amount, which was calculated as 5 kilowatts per day in the lowest tariff, was determined as 7 kilowatts with the new regulation. This means that the monthly consumption limit has been increased from 150 to 210 kilowatts. In other words, consumption up to 210 kilowatts will pay 1.37 lira per kilowatt-hour, including taxes.

For each kilowatt-hour above this, 2.06 TL will be given. Thus, citizens who fear that their bills will double in February will be able to breathe a sigh of relief. A serious decrease is expected especially in the bills of the houses that consume 6-7 kilowatts of electricity per day. Considering the effect of products such as smart phones, computers and tablets on electricity usage today, we can say that it is a very relaxing step.
