The chip, which is applied in the form of an implant named N1, developed by Neuralink, aims to increase people’s mental capacities, treat neurological diseases and even compete with artificial intelligence after a while.

The application is actually quite simple. The neurosurgeon places this implant, which consists of thin electrode wires, in a position where it can send and receive electrical signals to the brain’s nerve cells. The rest is in the deft hands of the Musk team.

For a long time, Neuralink has been counting down the days to switch to manned experiments. Now the company has posted a job for its clinical research director.

One of the main goals behind Neuralink’s development of this chip is to better understand the complex thought processes of the human brain and help treat brain diseases. At least, they chose to start this way so that they could achieve something in the name of science by switching to human experiments.

However, the tests carried out so far are very promising. In fact, it is expected to be tested in people with neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease in a short time. In this way, by correcting the abnormal signals in the brain, it will greatly alleviate the symptoms, if not completely eliminate them. As a matter of fact, studies in different fields have also confirmed many times that these results are quite accessible.

On the other hand, Musk’s mind works a little differently. Although the moves he has made in the past years sometimes seem like childish ambitions, he is in a long-term game. Because with Neuralink, its main goal is to make it possible for people to transfer information directly from the brain to the computer in the future.

For example, as we see examples from The Matrix or GORA movies, instead of working for hours to learn a language in the future, we will be able to learn instantly thanks to this chip, or when we want to play the violin, we will be able to instantly visualize all the trainings about that instrument.

Of course, as we mentioned, the permission to pass to manned experiments has just been obtained. For this reason, we will see together whether all these goals will remain a dream or will they turn into reality step by step.
