On the other hand, its competitors began to lose customers because they wanted half the subscription fee. It was even dragged to 2nd place by Disney+ in many countries. According to a report first published by the New York Times, Netflix wants to launch its advertising subscription service at the end of this year. The biggest reason for this is that for the first time in its 10-year history, there has been a decrease in the number of customers instead of an increase.
Of course, Netflix is not alone in this regard. For example, Disney+, which officially entered our country in June, announced that it was working on an advertising subscription system earlier this year. Although its most expensive package is half the price of Netflix’s equivalent service, it will be able to steal a large number of subscribers if it lowers the prices even more with the advertising package.
Netflix’s worst series has been cancelled!
Netflix has announced that it has canceled the Resident Evil series. The adaptation, which aired in July, only survived for one season.
On the other hand, some platforms such as EXXEN operating in Turkey already offer this appropriate package support with advertisements. In addition, according to Acun Ilıcalı, the founder of the platform, the number of users has been increasing since the moment it was founded. In other words, as long as the price is affordable, people throw the ad into the 2nd plan.
According to the latest leaks, the advertising subscription price to be brought by Netflix will be between 7 and 9 dollars. That’s half of the $15 asking price for the entry-level Basic package. A similar service is expected to be offered in Turkey. If we make a rough estimate, we can say that it can be at the level of 20 TL.

- Standard plan: 57.99 TL
- Special plan: 77.99 TL
