The next round of negotiations should take place on Tuesday in Hamburg, said the Augsburg IG Metall boss Michael Leppek of the “Augsburger Allgemeine” (Friday).

A week ago, more than 10,000 employees took part in a nearly one-day warning strike against management’s plans. At the Airbus subsidiary Premium Aerotec, on the other hand, employees in Augsburg, Bremen, Varel and Nordenham are reportedly on strike.

According to the company, the Augsburg-based Airbus subsidiary Premium Aerotec has been accumulating losses in the billions for twelve years. Airbus now wants to merge parts of Airbus and the Augsburg subsidiary Premium Aerotec in a new subsidiary.
