Nationwide incidence close to the 200 mark – traffic light groups are considering additional corona measures

From Sunday, stricter corona regulations apply in Bavaria. Are currently 552 patients with a corona infection in the intensive care units in the Free State, “the Bavarian hospital traffic light will be yellow from tomorrow,” announced the Ministry of Health on Saturday.

This means that in inns and at events in closed rooms, the 3G plus rule, so: vaccinated, recovered or PCR tested. A rapid antigen test is then no longer sufficient. Exceptions apply to universities, extracurricular educational offers, libraries and archives.

A rapid test is still sufficient for those who have not been vaccinated. 2G applies in discos and clubs – unvaccinated people are no longer allowed to enter after a test. The mask standard is generally increased to FFP2. There are no new restrictions for trade and public transport.

Many Bavarian regions are considered “regional hotspots”: Where the seven-day incidence is over 300 and the intensive care beds in the region are also more than 80 percent occupied, the stricter regulations of the red hospital traffic light apply. Bavaria-wide, the traffic light switches to red according to the requirements of the state government when there are 600 Covid intensive care patients nationwide.
