NASA has managed to measure the magnetic field of the poles, which have been in theories for a long time but have not been discovered in practice.

Scientists, causing particles in our planet’s atmosphere to escape They were thinking about the idea of a magnetic field. However, this magnetic field had not been measured until now. NASA’s Endurance rocket not only detected this field during its suborbital flight, but also measured it.

This electromagnetic field is gravity and magnetic field likeis thought to have a significant effect on the development of the planet. Particles emerging from the planet’s atmosphere have been discovered before. It was noted that these particle escapes were seen in the south and north polar regions.

“The only logical answer was an electric field”

Making a statement on the matter Dr. Glyn Collinson of the Goddard Space Flight Center,”There had to be something pulling these particles out of the atmosphere. The only logical answer was an electric field.” he said.

The electromagnetic field detected by Endurance is 518 kilometers high and 0.55 volts has a weak electric potential. This field is strong enough to account for particle escape at the poles, but it is no stronger than an average button cell. The hydrogen lost by this field is balanced by hydrogen from meteors.

From NASA Dr. Glyn Collinson and his team developed a device that can detect this weak field and made successful measurements with the rocket launched from Svalbard. This invention will provide important information not only for Earth but also for other planets with atmospheres. The data obtained will also provide a clearer understanding of the effects of this field on the evolution of planets.
