Depressing start of the trial before the Ulm regional court. In the dock, kindergarten director Johanna E. (36). Public prosecutor Christof Lehr (61) accuses her of two murders. On the night of April 26th, she is said to have pulled a bag filled with helium gas over the head of each of her two children, then held it by the neck until the little ones could no longer breathe. She is said to have bought the gas at a hardware store shortly beforehand.

But if that is true: why does a mother do that? BILD learned: She and her husband Bernd E. (39) wanted to separate. Is that why she killed the innocent children?
