FINALLY again shows of the mega-stars – but ONE especially wanted to get in touch.
The MTV VMAs were awarded in New York on the night from Sunday to Monday. The coveted prices? Almost secondary to what was bustling and whispering on the red carpet.
Celebrity couples flicked and cuddled, pop greats clapped each other enthusiastically and everyone was somehow happy to be able to celebrate again.
He had to be upset, however: world star Conor McGregor (33). The UFC superstar wanted to fight in the middle of the red carpet. With who? Musician Machine Gun Kelly (31).

What was happening there?
According to the celebrity portal “TMZ”, McGregor allegedly wanted to take a photo with MGK, but he didn’t feel like it. Didn’t Conor handle the basket? Or just a little bit of cheeky promo?
Immediately afterwards the situation escalated, McGregor allegedly stumbled in the hustle and bustle, spilled his drink and the good mood was gone.
Conor is said to have thrown his drink at Machine Gun Kelly – and everything escalated. Bodyguards had a hard time telling the two guys apart.
After all: Both calmed down again and disappeared separately from each other into the hall.

Nothing under it? No – nothing about it. THE eye-catcher of the evening was Megan Fox, girlfriend of Machine Gun Kelly and always good for a wow effect.

Madonna’s sexy striptease
The “Queen of Pop” herself provided the surprise of the gala evening – right from the start.
Madonna opened the MTV VMAs with a surprise appearance. And how! Your paint is far from off. At the age of 63, Madonna flitted across the stage in leather, lacquer and a bitch look.
“You said we wouldn’t hold out, but we’re still here,” the singer said to her critics. Then she congratulated the music broadcaster MTV on its 40th birthday, officially opened the gala with the words “Welcome to the VMAs 2021” and left the stage. Short, tight, really cool.

The gala, which took place in New York’s Barclays Center this year, was moderated by rapper Doja Cat (25).
She took her job seriously – and had various flashy outfits in her luggage for her moderation. Sometimes with a chair as a hat, sometimes as a motley knitted candy. Of course, Doja Cat also performed herself – then more glamorous and wrapped up less thickly.

Oh yes – who actually won?
Justin Bieber led the field with seven nominations. Singer Megan Thee Stallion followed closely behind with six chances to win. For every five nominations there are several stars, including Billie Eilish, BTS, Doja Cat, Drake, Lil Nas X and Olivia Rodrigo.
The 18-year-old singer Olivia Rodrigo was honored as the “best new artist”, and her hit “drivers license” was also chosen as the “best song”. “That was the most magical year of my life,” said Rodrigo and thanked her fans.
The most coveted prize at the gala, in the “Video of the Year” category, went to Lil Nas X for “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”. “I love you guys so much,” the 22-year-old rapper shouted to his fans. “I don’t take this for granted.”
The Foo Fighters received the “Global Icons” award. “We’ve been a band for 26 years so that feels pretty good,” said frontman Dave Grohl. Billie Eilish, Travis Scott and Machine Gun Kelly were also able to collect prizes.
Justin Bieber took home awards for “Artist of the Year” and “Best Pop” and thanked his wife Hailey, who was in the audience.
