Minister of Transport and Infrastructure: Our Goal is Zero Carbon in the Air

Held at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, the ’12. The Transport and Communication Council witnessed statements on making domestic transportation and communication technologies environmentally friendly. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that achieving 0 carbon emissions in aviation is one of their goals.

Organized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, the ’12. At the Transportation and Communications Council, the possibilities of transportation and communication were discussed, and a road map was drawn where these opportunities intersect. One of the most highlighted topics at the event was ‘environmental technologies’ that could be used.

The communication and transportation tools of the future were mentioned at the meeting, which was attended by 55 countries. The emphasis is on these tools and systems. “It should be both environmentalist and local and national” it happened.

Target 0 carbon in aviation

The 12th Transport and Communications Council, attended by 13 ministers, 105 companies and audience from 55 countries, and 20 thousand people in total; It was held with the support of 46 speakers at the main session, 15 speakers at the industry meetings, and 12 speakers at the Transporttech Hall. One of these speakers, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, announced that 474 targets were set for 5 sectors.

Turkey has recently accepting the Paris Climate Agreement Recalling, the minister stated that the investments that will be at the forefront will be environmentally friendly as well as being domestic and national. Karaismailoğlu’s statements on the subject were as follows: Green port certification is on our agenda. We aim to reach zero carbon in aviation as well. Reducing carbon emissions on highways is also among our priorities.
