It’s no secret that super-rich tech celebrities like Elon Musk and Tim Cook have invested some of their billions of dollars in crypto. As we have previously reported, Tesla CEO Musk came up with the DOGE investment. However, a new survey has now found that even ordinary wealthy people in the US are investing in crypto.

According to survey results published on investment website The Motley Fool, nearly 68 percent of Americans with a net worth of over $1 million have invested in cryptocurrencies. This value corresponds to roughly 4.7 million people who invest mostly in crypto because they believe it will provide strong returns. While 61 percent of respondents believe in the concept of cryptocurrency, 60 percent think it is a safe store of value. There are also a few surprises regarding the most popular cryptocurrencies among this particular group of crypto investors.

It is stated that 60 percent of these crypto-investor millionaires in the USA owns Bitcoin and 55 percent owns Ethereum. This is not surprising. However, it is quite surprising that 86 percent have invested in at least one meme coin such as Shiba Inu or Dogecoin. The survey revealed that almost half of these millionaire crypto investors own Dogecoin, while a third own rival Shiba Inu.
