Microsoft founder Bill Gates
As co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill Gates hands out billions of dollars in grants each year to support not only charitable causes, but also innovative technologies and groundbreaking research. The billionaire was particularly taken with global health care – which is why the Gates Foundation appeared as a sponsor of vaccination technologies, especially during the corona pandemic.
But Gates has other innovations in mind that could be used for philanthropic purposes. The Microsoft founder will talk about what these are at the Europe 2023 conference – the joint start of the year by Handelsblatt, Wirtschaftswoche, Zeit and Tagesspiegel – in an interview with Handelsblatt editor-in-chief Sebastian Matthes.
