Meta announced today that it is opening APIs for Threads to developers. In this way, developers will be able to publish content, pull their own content, and activate response management tools. This will allow users to hide/show or interact with specific answers.

Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, stated that the APIs are widely available and will reach more users soon. Threads engineer Jesse Chen said that with the new API, developers will be able to publish content, pull their own content and activate response management tools.
Developers will also have access to analytics metrics such as views, likes, replies, reposts, and citations at the media and account level.
In October 2023, Instagram president Adam Mosseri first stated that they were working on the Threads API. The company launched the API in closed beta with partners like Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Social News Desk, Hootsuite, and Techmeme. At the time, Chen said the API would be widely available to developers in June, and the company has delivered on that promise.
