Michael Kondoudis, the well-known US patent expert, told the German automotive giant’s Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on his Twitter account. metaverse and NFT announced that he had applied for a patent in his fields.
The automotive giant has applied for the sub-brands “Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes, S-Class- G-Class and Maybach”, respectively.
Kondoudis stated that the company is seeking patents for NFT, crypto collection, digital currency, storage for virtual assets, and financial services. Mercedes-Benz’s patent application for a cryptocurrency trading service also caught the attention of the crypto community.

Daimler, the parent company of giant luxury automotive manufacturer Mercedes-Benz, is closely interested in blockchain technology. Daimler’s South East Asia office announced last summer that it has developed a data sharing network in collaboration with Polygon.
With the data sharing network called Acentrink, businesses will be able to buy and sell data in a decentralized environment.
The automotive company that made the first move on NFTs was Hyundai. The Asian manufacturer released community-targeted NFTs in April. Super automotive manufacturer McLaren, on the other hand, collaborated with MSO LAB to create a digital collection in May.
