Floki Inu team thrown yesterday tweetHe stated that he sent 5.1 trillion tokens to two wallets on both the BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum. These tokens were burned and completely out of supply.
We have burnt 5.1 trillion $FLOKI tokens and disabled the main $FLOKI cross-chain bridge.

According to data from BSC Scan, the team sent a total of 2,260,003,686,908 (2.26 trillion) FLOKIs worth $52.52 million from the BNB Chain-based bridge contract to a dead address. Likewise, Floki Inu sent 2,844,738,025,323,620857557 (2.84 trillion) tokens worth $66.11 million to a dead wallet on the Ethereum network.
FLOKI claims that the tokens burned during the burning process are worth $124 million, making it one of the most important burnings in the crypto industry.
Notably, the final burn came after Floki DAO made the decision to burn 4.97 trillion tokens and reduce the transaction tax to 0.3%. Floki Inu scheduled the transaction tax reduction on February 3, while the token burn was scheduled for February 9. Although the team originally planned to burn 4.97 trillion tokens, yesterday the number of tokens burned was increased to 5.1 trillion.
Floki Inu Disables Main Cross Chain Bridge
Meanwhile, Floki Inu has also confirmed that he has disabled his main bridge. It is worth noting that the bridge helps users move FLOKI tokens from the BNB Chain to the Ethereum network and vice versa.
The decision to disable cross-chain was made after the attacks that rocked the DeFi space as well. As we have reported as Koinfinans.com, the total amount stolen in the last two years is over $2.5 billion.
Half of all DeFi exploits in the last 2 years have been cross-chain bridge exploits, with over $2.5 billion lost in bridge exploits in the last 2 years alone.
