By joining forces, MediaTek and Google are taking the artificial intelligence capabilities of mobile devices to a new level. Thanks to the partnership between the two companies, various MediaTek chipsets, especially Dimensity 9400, will support Gemini Nano artificial intelligence.
MediaTek Dimensity 9400 will support Google Gemini Nano
MediaTek announced that it will integrate Gemini Nano artificial intelligence capabilities into its own chipsets, thanks to its collaboration with Google.

Gemini Nano is Google’s mini artificial intelligence model that enables smartphones to perform artificial intelligence tasks such as text generation and voice processing without an internet connection. Gemini Nano gained multimodal support with its latest version; It can understand multiple media types, such as text and images.
MediaTek announced that the new chipset Dimensity 9400 will be the first chip to support Gemini Nano. The new processor is expected to power many flagship Android phones to be launched next year. However, MediaTek stated that this feature will also come to other chipsets that support artificial intelligence.
Devices such as the Galaxy Tab S10, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, will gain Gemini Nano support through software updates. This represents a significant step forward in on-device artificial intelligence capabilities.

This partnership reflects both companies’ efforts toward AI models that can run on-device for privacy and performance benefits. With Gemini Nano, users; will be able to take photographs and receive explanations that combine visual and textual understanding.
