According to local news sources, Malaysian police today had 1,773 ASICs. Bitcoin (BTC) destroyed the mining device.

Among those destroyed were mining equipment, as well as computers, modems and security cameras, officials said.
The equipment in question was seized as a result of 38 operations carried out in the Kota Setar region.
Acting on a tip, Kedah police searched 21 locations to investigate the level of electricity theft, tampering with electricity meters and damage to power supply lines.

Illegal mining activities therefore place great stress on power lines and can cause blackouts. In Malaysia, three houses had previously been on fire due to illegal mining activities.
