Current 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are equipped with the M1 Pro chip, which provides 200 Gpbs of memory bandwidth, and the M1 Max chip, which reaches 400 Gbps. These processors are accompanied by high-speed LPDDR5 RAM manufactured by Samsung.
It is among the leaked information that the next MacBook Pro models will reach up to 33 percent more memory bandwidth than the M1 Pro and M1 Max versions. Devices that will use LPDDR5X RAM manufactured by Samsung will be able to offer memory bandwidth up to 300 Gbps for M2 Pro and 600 Gbps for M2 Max.
