Frankfurt Lufthansa is in demand again on the stock exchange: the Lufthansa share has gained almost 70 percent in the past three years. It has thus clearly outperformed all other airline stocks and is now even a candidate for promotion to the Dax again.

As scheduled, Deutsche Börse decides on the composition of its indices on June 5 after the US stock exchange closes. At the June review, only companies that have performed particularly well on the stock exchange are included in a selection index.

In order to be included in the Dax of the 40 largest German companies, the market value of all shares in free float must be at least 33rd of all around 220 companies that are in principle suitable for inclusion in an index. According to calculations by Stifel Europe Bank, Lufthansa is currently 35th in the stock market rankings.
