Last Minute Warning From Binance CEO: “There Is A Leak, You Must Do It!”

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said in his statement that he is sure that the API keys leaked by hackers from 3Commas are behind the recent thefts from accounts.

CZ has asked all users to revoke the API keys they have added to this app:

“I’m pretty sure there are extensive API key leaks from 3Commas. If you have added an API key to 3Commas (from any exchange), please deactivate it immediately.”

However, API keys leaked from 3Commas began to be shared on social media platforms. The company had previously argued that the hacking incidents were not caused by them.

I am reasonably sure there are wide spread API key leaks from 3Commas. If you have ever put an API key in 3Commas (from any exchange), please disable it immediately.

Cryptocurrency CoinMamba had recently discussed the same issue with CZ, and CZ had the user’s account closed.

CoinMamba stated that it only connects its API to 3Commas services and forgot the fact.

He immediately reported the matter to the Binance (BNB) team and requested compensation. However, he said his main motivation is to ensure that the platform takes action to prevent the recurrence of such attacks.

Binance CEO, on the other hand, shared the user’s conversation with customer service employees and accused him of being rude.

Within hours, Coinmamba announced that its Binance (BNB) account had been put into “withdrawal only” mode. Coinmamba concluded that the account was restricted due to his “tweets”.

However, CZ was the target of criticism for deactivating a user’s account.
