Berlin On the occasion of the United Nations (UN) Climate Week in New York, eleven leading German companies committed to climate protection and joined the UN initiative “Race to Zero”.

Deutsche Post DHL Group, Thyssen-Krupp Steel Europe, Wacker Chemie, Schüco and Union Investment have committed to embarking on the 1.5-degree path for climate neutrality. Allianz, Aurubis, Telekom, Heidelberg Cement, the Otto Group and Puma had previously announced their participation in the global climate protection initiative.

If you want to be part of the “Race to Zero”, you don’t just have to commit to becoming climate neutral by 2050 at the latest. The aim is to take the path by 2030 that can limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
