Two German sports legends in the same discipline …
One is a red carpet professional. The other now cuts a fine figure even as a newcomer to this terrain.
For the premiere of an Olympic film about downhill legend Franz Klammer (67, Olympic gold 1976) in Villach, Austria, Boris Becker (53, tennis double gold 1992) struck casually with a jacket and sky-blue shirt on the side of Girlfriend Lilian (33). The Wimbledon champion has been known for years. On the surface it is almost as good as it used to be on fast hard carpet courts in indoor duels with the tennis world elite.
Jan Ullrich (47, Straßen-Rad-Gold 2000) also posts cool for the photographers. And that after a weekend when most would prefer to lie down on the couch for days or weeks.
After his first 312-kilometer cycle race on Mallorca, “Ulle” shone in a sports sweater at the side of his Elizabeth (37). After many downs in recent years and the fight against alcohol problems, the former tour hero seems to feel good again in his own skin, came back well tanned with a white forehead (from the helmet), a grin on his face and a figure that follows Desire for more cycling looks.
Most recently, the Tour de France winner said that only cycling was still his addiction. It seems to be good for him.
That’s what the movie is about
The film, whose premiere Becker and Ullrich visited in Austria, is about the Austrian ski legend Franz Klammer. To this day, he is considered one of the best downhill skiers of all time.
The multiple world champion won the 1976 Olympic Games in Innsbruck spectacularly in the downhill race after losing a lot of time at the start after a serious mistake.
Our two Olympic heroes Becker and Ullrich have always managed to fight their way out of the depths. At this premiere, however, the gold boys and their companions were all winners.
