ITU’s ARIBA X event starts on April 4th!

ITU Solar Car Team, one of the most rooted project teams in Turkey, has achieved great success by producing 10 solar cars and 1 autonomous vehicle in its journey that started by producing electric cars working with solar energy.

Having success stories ranging from the deserts of Australia to the F1 tracks of Belgium, ITUGAE has given hundreds of graduates to date and trained experienced and competent engineers for development projects, especially in the automotive, energy and informatics sectors of Turkey.

Are electric cars not as environmentally friendly as it seems?

The latest report for electric car emissions revealed the emission of electric vehicles from production to the end of their life.

ITU ARIBA X event starts on April 4

ITUGAE, of which 20 percent of its graduates are abroad, carries out R&D studies by considering student development. The team, which has been carrying out activities related to various engineering fields such as solar panels, electric motors, batteries, and composite chassis for nearly 20 years, also has an important technical archive with 35 academic publications.

Participating in the World Solar Challenge, the world’s most prestigious and challenging project team competition, held in Australia every two years, is among the main objectives of ITUGAE. ITU Solar Car Team brought the only award to Turkey in this competition, in which the world’s best universities such as Stanford, Michigan, Aachen, Eindhoven, Delft, Leuven and MIT took part.

The team, which took part in the competition simultaneously in Belgium and Turkey with the solar car named ARIBA X and the ARIBA Autonomous autonomous vehicle produced in 2021, broke new ground once again and won the third prize in the Teknofest Robotaksi-Autonomous Passenger Car Competition.

Speakers from important companies such as Kalyon PV, Zorlu Energy, Hexagon Studio, BİAS Mühendislik, ABB, TEHAD, Leo Drive and BASF will also take place at the event of the team, which will launch the vehicles it produced last year at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center on April 4th.
