It was already rock solid: the new safety system of the Volvo EX30 has been introduced!

Volvo’s new entry-level electric model, the EX30, will be unveiled simultaneously around the world in June. Along with this, new safety systems developed by Volvo to reduce the risks of fatal accidents will be introduced. Here are Volvo’s upcoming EX30 model new safety systems…

New security systems will come as standard, not options!

The new EX30 will be the brand’s entry-level electric model. The EX30, which will share the same platform with the Smart model, will offer all the new security systems as standard. So there is no new option package coming. Future systems are designed to prevent both accidents and passenger deaths during an accident.

The first of these new systems is the door opening warning system. Especially in big cities such as Istanbul, motorcycle drivers are passing through the vehicles in the jammed traffic. Thanks to this new system of Volvo, motorist accidents hitting the door left open will also be prevented. Because Volvo cars will no longer open their doors if there is a moving object next to the vehicle. In addition, the system will warn passengers visually and audibly.

In line with its goal of introducing a new electric car every year, Volvo has shared the first images of its new SUV model, the EX30.

In addition, Volvo has strengthened the system it calls the safety cage inside the vehicle. As it is known, our cars have A, B and C columns. The inability of these pillars to disperse the impact, especially in some rollover accidents, causes the roof of the vehicle to collapse and the passengers to be crushed. To avoid all these bad scenarios, Volvo has strengthened both the pillars and the roof of the vehicle.

Alongside the airbag in the driver’s seat, Volvo has integrated a new system called the far-side airbag. This airbag especially protects the bones of the skeleton from impacts from the driver’s door. In general, it is impossible for the drivers to get rid of the blows directly to the door without getting injured. But Volvo is trying to prevent that.

Finally, the new EX30 has an intersection accident prevention system. The vehicle will follow the vehicle in front in a congested traffic or at intersection entrances. And when the vehicle in front comes to a stop or the safe distance between the two vehicles is violated, the system will self-brake.

The new Volvo EX 30 will be unveiled on 7 June 2023. So what do you think? Don’t forget to give your opinion in the comments section…
