Simulation theory comes up with the idea that the universe is actually a computer program designed by another creature or force. So much so that the number of people who believe in this theory is quite high. Physicist Melvin Vopson at the University of Portsmouth takes the subject in depth.

The simulation theory, which assumes that everything happens as a result of algorithms and computer equations, was put forward by John Archibald and dates back to the 1980s. So much so that Archibald argues that the basis of the universe is information.

Vopson says he will be able to find out whether this theory is correct with some tests he will perform. However, the construction phase of the project is a bit troublesome. The scientist said that the project required 219 thousand dollars and prepared a donation campaign for it. However, he has only been able to raise a thousand dollars so far.

Vopson included the following sentences in his article in The Conversation;

In 1989, the legendary physicist John Archibald Wheeler said that the universe is fundamentally mathematical and may have arisen from knowledge. So the whole world was invented from ‘bits’. Similarly, Albert Einstein’s theory of general relativity shows that time slows down near the black hole.

Vopson completed the project on paper. Accordingly, two possible outcomes stand out in the experiment. First, the view that knowledge also has mass. So much so that this opinion takes place as the main guess. Second, all elementary particles contain information. Simply put, each electron stores a piece of information.
